Please read these terms before booking. By submitting a quote request, booking, or accepting a clean, you agree to the terms below.

These terms apply to all services provided by Bridgwater Window Cleaning ("we", "us", "our"), based in Bridgwater, Somerset, covering window cleaning, gutter clearing, gutter fascia and soffit cleaning, solar panel cleaning, conservatory roof cleaning, and render cleaning (the "Services"). "You" and "your" refer to the customer booking or requesting the Services.
Quotes given online, by phone, or in person are estimates based on the information and access you describe. We reserve the right to revise a quote if the property differs from what was described once we attend. Submitting an enquiry or quote request does not create a binding contract — a booking is confirmed only once we've agreed a price and date with you by text, phone, or email.
Our window cleaning mainly uses a ground-based, water fed pole system, with ladders used where needed. You're responsible for making sure we can safely reach all agreed elevations of the property, including unlocking side or rear gates on your clean day. If we can only access part of the property (for example, the front only), the clean will go ahead for the accessible area and 75% of the agreed price will still be charged, as this covers our time, travel, and setup. Where we can only clean the front because a side or rear gate is locked, a minimum charge of £10 applies.
Please let us know in advance of any access hazards — loose fencing, fragile structures, low power lines near the working area, dangerous dogs, or anything else we should be aware of before arriving.
Light rain or drizzle does not affect the quality of a pure water clean, so we'll carry on as normal in most weather. We only reschedule your clean where conditions are genuinely hazardous to our operators or equipment — for example high winds, thunderstorms, or ice — and we'll let you know as soon as possible if this affects your appointment.
From time to time we may be unable to work because of holidays or illness. When this happens, we'll do our best to reschedule your clean for another day where we can. If rescheduling isn't possible, your clean may be skipped and we'll return on your next scheduled visit. You will not be charged for any clean that is skipped.
All work is carried out by trained operatives, mainly using a ground-based water fed pole system. We assess overhead hazards, including power lines, before starting work and maintain safe working distances at all times. Where ladders are needed, they are used safely and in line with current health and safety guidance. Gutter clearing and gutter fascia & soffit cleaning may involve pole-based or platform equipment operated in line with current health and safety guidance.
If it's your first pure water clean, or your windows haven't been cleaned in some time, ground-in dirt and old detergent residue trapped in the glass or frames can take two to three visits to fully clear. This is normal, and results improve with each subsequent clean.
Recurring customers pay by GoCardless Direct Debit, collected automatically after each completed clean. GoCardless is FCA-regulated and payments are protected under the Direct Debit Guarantee. One-off cleans and other services may be payable on the day by bank transfer or card, or as otherwise agreed at the time of booking. We reserve the right to pause future visits on any account with an overdue balance until it is settled.
Our prices may be reviewed from time to time. We will always give you notice of any price change before it applies to your cleans.
To cancel your recurring service permanently, or to skip a single upcoming clean, text CANCEL or SKIP to 07503 526096 before your scheduled clean day. For one-off bookings, please give us as much notice as possible — cancellations made with less than 24 hours' notice may incur a call-out charge to cover travel and scheduling.
We want every clean to meet a high standard. If you're not happy with the result, please let us know within 48 hours of the clean so we can inspect the work and, where it falls short of what was agreed, return to put it right at no extra charge. Complaints raised outside this window may not be eligible for a free re-clean.
We carry full public liability insurance and take care to protect your property while we work. However, we cannot accept responsibility for pre-existing conditions that our work may reveal or that are outside our control, including but not limited to:
We clean the exterior of windows only, unless interior cleaning has been separately agreed and quoted. Where we are found liable for accidental damage caused by our negligence, our liability is limited to the reasonable cost of repair or the value of the service provided, whichever is lower — this does not affect any liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud.
We may take before-and-after photos of completed work for quality control and training. We may also use these for marketing, including on our website and social media, without identifying your address, unless you ask us not to.
We collect the personal information you provide — such as your name, phone number, email, and address — to give you a quote, schedule your service, and take payment (including via GoCardless for Direct Debit collection). We don't sell your data to third parties, and we hold it securely for as long as needed to provide our services and meet our legal obligations, in line with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Contact us at any time to ask what information we hold, to correct it, or to request it be deleted.
We may update these terms from time to time to reflect changes to our services or legal requirements. The current version will always be available on this page, and continuing to use our services after an update means you accept the revised terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
